Tony Cowell was born and raised in Elstree – the home of the British film industry. His mother, Julie was a former actress and dancer. He is the older brother of Simon Cowell.  
 
As a journalist and radio broadcaster Tony hosts Cowell Confidential for GMG Radio (Real & Smooth London) - reporting on the X Factor and Britain’s Got Talent. 
 
In the US Tony is a regular contributor to CBS radio, Clear Channel and Saga Communications reporting on American Idol for a number US radio stations. 

He also hosts The Cowell Factor - his weekly celebrity radio report for Fame Games and Envision Radio which is heard in over 200 countries. 
 
Tony is a regular guest on British TV with guest slots on ITV's This Morning, BBC Breakfast, Sky News and Channel 5. In the US he is a regular guest on TV Guide’s Idol Tonight with his exclusive insight on American Idol. 
 
As a celebrity columnist - he writes exclusively for Woman's Own magazine with his weekly celebrity interviews and inside gossip on all things Cowell related.
